The Nigerian Child Initiative brings you the 4th edition of its annual #MyGlobalGoal Essay Competition themed "SDGs - NO LIMITS".
Transform your ideas, imagination, thoughts and creativity into actualizing the SDGs- how far would they go? Dream big, think wide, dream far. Remember, NO LIMITS!
Capture a vision of the world you want to see by 2030 and express yourself in words or art.
This year, there are two categories:
Junior Category (open to basic 1-6 pupils) – ART only
Senior Category (open to JSS1- SS2 students) – ART, ESSAY and POETRY
Know a little about the SDGs
The SDGs are 17 ambitious goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 aimed at achieving a better and more sustainable future for all by the year 2030.
The goals include:
- GOAL 1: No Poverty
- GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
- GOAL 3: Good Health and Well- being
- GOAL 4: Quality Education
- GOAL 5: Gender Equality
- GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
- GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
- GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructures
- GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
- GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- GOAL 13: Climate Action
- GOAL 14: Life Below Water
- GOAL 15: Life on Land
- GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions.
- GOAL 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals

What do you gain?
- The best 17 students will become TNCI Global Goal Ambassadors for the SDGs in their respective schools.
- Ambassadors are enrolled into our one-year mentorship program where they learn about sustainability and organize social impact projects with teams they would form in their schools.
- Ambassadors would also be mentored by some of the foremost organizations promoting the SDGs.
- And there are LOTS of amazing prizes to be won!
